You know what birdie events they go to and whenever anything wonderful happens.

Well I have my first chick for this season a Pearl cockatiel.  For some reason the parents laid a nest in the middle of winter.  But it didn't matter as the chick survived.

EXCITING NEWS
Tomorrow  we are all going to the Talking bird competition and bird sale which is run by the NZ parrot Society.
Unfortunately I can't enter Jade or Phantom as they are to young to talk

This is a 3 1/2 week old pearl cockateil chick. 

I said that I have only 2 hand raised birds that is because tomorrow the 18 April, I have to sell my 3rd bird Forrest. He is very timid and is getting picked on by the other birds so I am giving him to some lovely people. Who will keep in contact with me.

Well the bird sale was a complete success, they were about 60 pairs of birds being offered for sale with about 4 times that many people visiting. Sadly though only 2 birds were entered for the talking bird competition so it was unfortunately cancelled.
